SBC/CIR/166/2021
08th October, 2021

Across the many movement control orders (MCO) in Malaysia, it is no surprise that COVID-19 has brought a whole new level of stressors and threats to our mental well-being. Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help.

With October being marked as Mental Health Awareness Month, the Selangor Bar wishes to highlight to all members of the bar just how important it is to take care of your mental health. As part of this initiative and to raise awareness on mental health, we have partnered up with PlusVibes, a free mobile app that connects you to mental health assistance and support. If you are not comfortable with sharing your struggles, fret not as you can remain completely anonymous whilst seeking advice or just have a “shoulder to lean on”. PlusVibes maintains confidentiality and records of any conversation will be erased within 24 hours.

Kindly refer to the attached poster below to download the app and to find out more! We encourage those who are struggling to start taking care of your mental health. It’s never too late to start your journey and live a healthier and happy life. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you.
