To Members of The Selangor Bar,


The Selangor Bar Committee is rescheduled to have a meeting with the Managing Judge (Shah Alam High Court Civil Division) together with the respective High Court Judges on 6th July, 2018 to discuss matters relating to the practice of Civil Law at the High Courts in Selangor. The earlier meeting which was fixed on 11th May, 2018 was adjourned due to the GE14.


In order to have meaningful and effective dialogue, we request Members to provide feedback on such issues and difficulties faced such as matters of practice and procedures that may require to be standardised between the various Civil High Courts, speciality areas of practice such as bankruptcy, winding up and company matters, family law, foreclosures, land matters etc.


The Selangor Bar Committee maintains a policy of privacy and confidentiality of the firms and practitioners raising such practice issues to be raised with the relevant authorities. The Committee will deliberate on  all feedback received, and collate the issues to be raised at the said meeting.
