Visit to the Selangor State Legislative Assembly

The Selangor State Legislative Assembly is the unicameral state legislature of the Malaysian state of Selangor, comprising of 56 members representing single-member constituencies. As the state's legislative body, the Selangor State Legislative Assembly's main function is to enact laws that apply to Selangor.

The inherently political nature of the legislative process has always become a task for lawyers, the very officers of the Court, to maintain objectivity while being the go-to authority on the issues of law.

In the spirit of being pro rule of law and justice, the Selangor Bar wishes to invite pupils and members of the Bar to join the next State Assembly sessions on 2nd November 2015 to observe the state legislative process, and to have a Q&A cum lunch session with the State Assemblyman for Bukit Gasing, YB Rajiv Rishyakaran, State Assemblywoman for Damansara Utama, YB Yeo Bee Yin, and our very own senior member of the Bar, Mr K.A. Ramu.

Please register as soon as possible. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
