Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Report : Seminar On 'Winding-Up Section 218(1)(e) Of The Companies Act 1965'. 

The CLE Sub-Committee organised a seminar entitled 'Winding-Up Under Section 218(1)(e) Of The Companies Act 1965',which was held on 10th August 2012.

The Seminar features Mr. Tieh Siaw Siong of Messrs S.S.Tieh. A total of 46 participants attended the seminar consisting of chambering pupils, members and non-members.

The speaker provided the participants with an overview of how to handle a winding-up petition right from the issuance of the statutory notice of demand to the hearing of the winding-up petition, with particular emphasis on section 218(1)(e) of the Companies Act, 1965

The seminar culminated with a Q&A session with active participation from the floor.

As a token of appreciation, Ms Oh Saw Khim, presented a plaque to the speaker.
