SBC/CIR/065/12
8th August, 2012

Dear Members,

We were made to understand that the e-filing system in the Shah Alam Courts went offline on Tuesday 7th August and Wednesday 8th August 2012.

As a result, members are advised to proceed to the service bureau at the KL Courts to file your court documents by way of e-filing. The Shah Alam Courts staff will be in KL Courts to assist the KL Court staff with the e-filing of documents.

On an important note however,we queried with the Shah Alam Courts on a back up system for filing of court documents when the e-filing system goes offline.

The Shah Alam Courts replied to us that the implementation of the said system is under discussion.

This is surprising considering the Chief Justice and the Managing Judge of the Selangor Courts have already agreed to implementation of a back up system when the e-filing system goes offline.

We view the Shah Alam Court's reply with concern. We will therefore urgently raise the above issue with the Chief Justice and the Managing Judge of the Selangor Courts to protect the interest of members.

We will keep members informed of developments.
Thank you,

Vishnu Kumar
