CLE Report : Seminar on Summary Judgement

The CLE Sub-Committee organised a seminar entitled 'Summary Judgement', on 25th May 2012. The Seminar features Mr.Ramesh Supramaniam from Messrs.George Varughese & Co.A total of 33 participants attended the seminar consisting of chambering pupils and members. Mr Ramesh explained and highlighted the law and procedure in relation to applications for summary judgement and referred to decided authorities and governing provisions, such as Order 14 of the Rules of High Court 1980 and Order 26A of the Subordinate Court Rules 1980.

The seminar culminated with a Q&A session with active participation from the floor. As a token of appreciation, Encik Muhammad Hidhir presented a plague to Mr Ramesh Supramaniam.

The evening ended with participants having light refreshments.
